Networked Energy Services Corporation Acquires Leading Provider of Grid Management Products

Austria-based ubitronix products, people, and facilities form NES Europe, including a new R&D facility and support center for NES customers 

Networked Energy Services Corporation (NES), a global smart grid market leader, today announced, its acquisition of ubitronix system solutions gmbh, a leading grid management products company serving the European and Middle East regions. The acquisition will accelerate grid management applications for Patagonia, the NES next generation solution platform for the smart grid. The 3 tier platform includes ruggedized Smart Grid Devices, which now includes ubitronix load management solution, Linux-based Control Nodes, and a robust grid analytics and applications portfolio, which will leverage ubitronix UIEM software, designed to integrate and manage smart grid devices and systems from multiple vendors.

The NES Patagonia platform has been designed from the ground up to support end-to-end, state of the art security to help its customers and partners meet the security challenges they face with a comprehensive solution. With ubitronix, NES is able to accelerate its overall grid management applications effort, offering its customers new Load Management applications and expand its Utility Data Center software to support multiple vendor products out of the box.
NES will leverage ubitronix Linz, Austria based facilities and engineers to launch a European R&D facility, focused on high speed wireless and PLC based communications for its Patagonia platform and grid management applications development. Further, NES will offer its European and Middle East customers even more local technical support through the resources and experience the ubitronix acquisition enables.

As a result of the acquisition, ubitronix system solutions gmbh will change its name to Network Energy Services Gmbh and will serve as the NES European headquarters.
