Networked Energy Services Announces David Thomson as New CEO
NES’s selects proven leader with extensive industry experience and knowledge to lead company in the exciting evolution of the energy industry
San Jose, CA, April 11, 2018 : Networked Energy Services Corporation (NES), a global smart grid solution provider with the industry’s leading Energy Applications Platform (EAPTM), announced today the appointment of David Thomson as its new Chief Executive Officer. This announcement follows a comprehensive search process to find a new CEO to lead the company in its continued commitment to be a recognized leader in the evolving energy industry.
David Thomson, who is based in Europe, has many years of leadership experience within the Energy sector, and within Smart Metering, previously leading the European sales organization of Honeywell Smart Energy, and holding the position of MD of Honeywell Smart Energy UK. He spent 11 years with the Elster Group, and was part of the senior team responsible for its sale to Honeywell. Prior to this, he ran a global non-utility electricity metering business within Invensys plc, and has held leadership positions within the Automotive and Logistics industries. David holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Loughborough University, and started his career qualifying as a Chartered Management Accountant in the UK within the Energy sector.
