Networked Energy Services Selected to Participate in Poland Smart Cities Event
US Commerce Department Organized a Smart Cities Trade Mission to assist cities in Poland and Czech Republic with their Smart Grid Strategies and Plans
San Jose, CA, March 11th, 2018: Networked Energy Services Corporation (NES), a global smart grid solution provider with the industry’s leading Energy Applications Platform (EAPTM), announced today that US Commerce Department selected NES to be a participant in the Smart Cities Trade Mission to Poland and Czech Republic. The trade mission is scheduled for the March 12th to the 16th, and will take place in Warsaw, Krakow and Prague. Participating in the tour on behalf of NES is Michael Anderson, President and CEO, along with Adam Zalewski, Vice President of Central and Eastern Europe.
US Commercial Services organized a Smart Cities Trade Mission to assist cities in Poland and the Czech Republic with their Smart Grid Strategies and Plans. The trade mission, which is being coordinated by the Business Council for International Understanding (BCIU), is scheduled to occur from March 12th to the 16th. It will take place in Warsaw, Krakow and Prague.
The Delegation participating in the Mission includes leading US based corporations focused on enabling smart cities by providing a variety of IT, communication and automation technologies and solutions. Listed in alphabetical order, the companies selected to participate in the Mission are Cambium Networks, Cisco, MasterCard, Microsoft, Networked Energy Services (NES), Viasat, Visa and Winncom Technologies. Also participating in the meetings are key representatives from the government and local cities, in addition to Management Executives from the eight companies.
The Smart Cities Mission includes country briefings at the US Embassies in Warsaw and Prague, as well as US Government based receptions at both Embassies and also the US Consul in Krakow. The meetings also include interactive discussions on Internet of Things (IoT), Mobility and, of course, Energy Efficiency, where the government, city and company representative can exchange ideas on how best to create a smart cities that benefit the society.
One of the key objectives of the Mission is to assist cities in Poland and the Czech Republic with implementing real IoT and Smart Grid solutions rather than some cities around the world that simply announce these types of projects without actually implementing solutions that benefit the cities and citizens. The Mission will try to focus on successful projects, such as the Smart City Wroclaw project in Poland that is providing IoT, Mobility, Smart Metering and Smart Grid solutions to enable a genuine smart city. Events, such as this, can assist other cities with learning from real world project examples to encourage proper planning and investment to obtain similar benefits.
