IEC Poly Phase Machine to Machine (M2M) Cellular Smart Meter Device
Proven, Secure, Multi-Application Secure: built on industry leading security features. Reliable: provides a 20 year life. Extensible: connects to local devices such as in-home displays and home networkes.
Machine to Machine (M2M) Cellular Metering Features
The MTR 3000 M2M (or P2P) meters offers a cellular module bay to install a modem which can be used to connect to NES System Software and commission the meter over a cellular network. M2M (or P2P) functionality provides the following additional benefits: • LTE CAT-M1 modem support (and NB-IoT ready). • Legacy LTE CAT1 cellular network support also available. • IPv4 support. • Security: TLS 1.2 PSK using AES256- SHA384- ECDHE (RFC5246 and RFC5489). Remote key changes are fully supported. • Open Smart Grid Protocol (OSGP) M2M Protocol: More efficient message size compared to other protocols. • Hot Swap Support: Meter does not need to be powered down to install/replace the M2M Module. No loss of electrical service on module replacement. • Last Gasp Outage Notification. • FOTA: Over-the-air firmware upgrades for the modem and meter • Internal/External antenna options.

Cutting Edge Host Processor for Future Smart Grid Application Expansion. Innovative and Customer Friendly Mechanical Design. Power quality measurements include: voltage, current, frequency, power factor, Total Harmonic Distortion (THD). 4x16 channels of load profile data; each with independent configuration of interval, size and collection settings. Optional dual relays (latching or solid state). H1 HAN port for home network connection.
Open Standard, Reliable Platform
Smart grid device and revenue-grade residential and small commercial customer smart meter. Collects industry leading variety of grid health data elements as well as provides alarming on deviation of power distribution service levels. 4x16 load profiles for flexible collection of sensing and metering data for grid health management applications and smart metering.
Protect Revenue and Reduce Operational Costs
Forward, reverse, net active energy, kvarh import/export, and four-quadrant kvarh measurements enable customer micro-generation sources and power quality monitoring. Tampering attempts are detected on cover removal and magnetic field presence. All events are detected and logged - even during power failures - and then securely communicated in a timely manner. Energy measuring technology is highly resistant to DC magnetic fields.
